Walt Disney World cities sign deal with Orange County Sheriff's Office

The cities of Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, which are primarily funded by Disney, will pay $7.6 million next fiscal year to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, which starts Oct. 1. The amount will increase annually. In the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2018, the cities will pay $8.3 million. Sixty-three sheriff's employees — including 36 deputies and seven detectives — will serve the Disney area.
