This park would have sat about 15 minutes from my house but I have never heard of it (except for a mention in Roller Coaster Rollback last week).
Does Anyone have any information on this park?

From same person... (Mentions CBuzz and EchoVictor, too) http://www.webtechnik.com/ebony/may102.htm
From this thread, it appears that CP Lady once visited there... http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=22364

I once asked about getting this information added to the Coasters and Parks here, but without much more to prove it's existence than my "word", Flying Dragon has yet to be added. I actually have 50 coasters in my track record, not 49.
BTW, that is my website that was referenced.

What was that park in Walled Lake called?

My track record

And if you check the links to my website provided above by Redman, you can also get a bit of history about Edgewater Park, and Boblo Island. I only made a couple trips to Walled Lake. But I'd make a couple trips to Edgewater and at least one to Boblo every summer.

Sadly, the area where the park used to stand is now just a bunch of condo's. My efforts to find information about the park through my family and the city of Walled Lake revealed little info.
I'm not surprised that the city didn't keep much info from the park, as the City Council is made up of a bunch of self-important low-level bureaucrats. For cryin' out loud, at a town planning meeting, I even saw them complain about a guy who wanted to put in a (alcohol-free) bowling alley! They thought it might attract "questionable types". That's right, a bowling alley!!!

What I can remember from when I was a kid, I am 40 years old now, is they turned the larger buildings into a weekend flea market. I do remember that the coaster, the Flying Dragan, was still standing, up untill the mid 70's, not running of course. The circut ran around part of the park with the supports going down through some of the buildings, this is my first memory of ever seeing a roller coaster.
The park was accross the street, East Lake Drive, from Walled Lake, the actual lake, but more info might be gathered from the City of Novi, where the park was really located, not the City of Walled Lake. I know I am about 2 years late with this info, but hey what the heck better late then never. LOL
Also to CP Lady, I have very fond memories of Boblo, went there for years, my best memory was my 8th grade trip there with my whole class, that was great. Now my son is in the 8th grade and we are going to CP on the 16th of June, can't wait. *** Edited 5/27/2005 8:42:52 PM UTC by Grady*** *** Edited 5/27/2005 8:45:40 PM UTC by Grady***
I don't know of any historical records about the park, but I've never looked before.
My grandpa used to tell me about this park sometimes and how they had some waterslide that several people were killed or badly injured on.
I've been to where the park used to be. A lot of it is just a open grassy park-type place now.
On the Walled Lake link there are some great pictures including a color aerial photo clearly showing the Flying Dragon coaster:
