Walkdowns...

Hey, does that mean you had to walk on those little (for some reason temporary) catwalks between the footers?

"Did I ever mention I had to walk down Superman at SFA when the chain broke?"

While not technically a walkDOWN, I had a walkOVER on Hypersonic when it rolled back (the place where we stopped was even keel, possibly lower elevation, than the station).

I also has to walkdown from the second lift on River King Mine Train @ SFStL. That was frightening as I was only like 8 and terrified of coasters to begin with. Some other kid peed his pants...

How about walkups? For my final year school project (model Inverted, see profile pic) I inspected the Demon (Vekoma Boomerang) at Wonderland Sydney - my homepark. I walked up the lift on the station side & trust me 120ft of stairs does not look like a walk in the park! My legs were trembling like jelly at the top & took a breather before walking down the other side. I don't even want to think of walking up SD2K's lift!
Question: what happens if MF's escape vehicle breaks down when a train is stuck on the lift?

I've got a weird one.  I got walked down from the top of SFWoA's X-Flight one night in mid-July.  That was... different.  :-)

It iook about 2 hours because they had some problems getting us unlocked; the battery pack kept blowing fuses.  They didn't try un-reclining either (probably couldn't even if they wanted to, if I had to guess).

The only real problem was since it happened at closing time and we didn't get down til midnight, it got kinda cold.  Heh.

Jeff, I'm not sure if your asking me that question, but it seems to fit my situation, and the answer is yes -

We got out of the car, with an employee helping us out onto those catwalks to the side of the track - who then walked us to another employee at the back of the train.

That employee took us across the track behind the train, and with another employee's help, had us climb over the banister rail to get to another piece of track that passes close the one we were on

That employee took us down that track's catwalk till we got to the employee standing at the top of the ladder who helped us get to the ground.

The lift on Arrowhead Splashdown (Jetstream at the time) stopped for about 10 minutes, but then started up again. No one was evacuated. It did get rather uncomfortable leaning back in the flumes for that long.

Also, not your typical walkdown but here goes....

My cousin and I, along with a couple other friends, were at Disneyland. We were riding the People Mover (no longer in existence) through Tomorrowland. If you arent familiar with the People Mover, it was a slow, open monorail type ride that you boarded and got of at specific areas, while the train stayed in motion. Very slow moving ride. We were near the front of the train and saw some cut girls near the back. We decided to jump out and hop in the next car back. Successful. We tried again to go back one more car and the ride shut down. We triggered some sort of motion laser beam. We hopped into the vehicle just as the walls in the ride split open and several park officials emerged. This was very weird. The people in the back of the train pointed us out and we were busted. They escorted us down through the same secret passages that they emerged from and brought us to the "Disney Jail". We were repremanded and warned, then released back into the park. These secret passages were just normal walls around the ride until they opened up. Neat! But I've never jumped out of a ride again. I later realized what a stupid thing it was to do, for my own safety. Also, the ride had to be closed for several hours so it could be re-synchronized. Sorry for anyone who didnt get to ride the people mover that day.
