Oh man, how hard do I miss those old school CCI hand drawn renderings? I remember drooling over those for Raven, Excalibur, seems like there were a bunch of others, too. Hard to believe that was so long ago, weird to feel old at 23.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is doing this coaster now that CCI is no more? Gravity Group?

Yes, Gravity Group has apparently picked this project up.

rsscbell's avatar Actually Larry Bill (formally of C.C.I. now Gravity group) has been the designer involved since day one.

When C.C.I. went belly up I mentioned it to beachside

resident who seemed to be absolutely thrilled by this news. The next day a interview with Mr. Nelson appeared in the paper with saying that nothing has really changed and that Mr. Bill will follow the project through.

rsscbell's avatar I found the article at GOERIE.COM dated 7/31/2002.

Search Ravine Flyer and you will get about 60 results

with the article in question a few pages in.

RSSCBELL, That coaster has been on the boards for almost ten years or more. He's had to fight every injunction, blockage and environmental there is to get it approved, Right down to a stoppage for the service road to build it.

All this from a next door campground that could do nothing but benifit from it's build.

Sheesh :)
