Also, which dragon (ice or fire) do you prefer? What are the good and bad points on each?
Thanks!
Early off right after the park opens Hulk will have a line of under 15min and you can ride it a few times. That is the time to do Spidey and Doom too. Dragons won't have a wait at all in the morning either. Now around 12-3 that is when the longest lines will be at Hulk, Spidey, Doom, and Dragons. Around then it is best to try out one of the awesome water rides or head on over to the studios park. Around 5 or so is when the lines start to get smaller throughout IOA. What I usually do is first, I do all the things I want at IOA till around 11:30, then go over to the studios till about 3:30 and then go back to IOA.
Now about the dragons. I think that Fire is better from all the seats, but from the front Ice is better. There is an awesome near miss with the castle on Ice that you will only see from the front, but that is pretty much all that is special about Ice. Fire's layout seem more action packed with the immelman after the first drop, and the hearline roll over the water at the end. Ice is kind of boring at the beginning and end because it doesn't have any inversions but only turns.

If the park was open past 6pm that would work. Currently I wouldn't know about Christmas crowds, but I've heard it gets packed. This year I'm not too sure how the crowds will be. During Nov (IAAPA) there were no lines at every park we hit, everything was a walk-on. Just be aware of the cut-backs in hours.

I prefer a different dragon every time that I go to IOA. The Fire dragon is good because it has nice air over Ice zero-g roll and two cool Immelman helix maneuvers but Ice is good because it has a zero-g roll and a cool collission with the castle walls. Overall though, Fire is better because it has better pacing. Ice sort of ends but Fire is still going all the way around the castle. I love the end of Fire when you are really close to the ground but are still going full speed, I think it is a good foot chopper. Ice's ride gets eaten up by the Cobra Roll and there fore it doesn't get that extra corkscrew at the end like fire. So I guess Fire

It's really the truth, and I am in complete ageeement. I've often told people the exact same thing, pretty much word for word as he said it.
