Umm..yeah...that addresses any questions pertaining to if there will be engine changes or dramatic software updates. This is going to be an expansion like the other ones we've seen with RCTI, only with a heavy focus on themeing.

If you read the GameSpy review, you see it's exactly what we've expected all along. New theming, including themed rides, stalls and coaster trains.

If anyone expected any more than this, they were fooling themsleves. I'm still going to run out and snag a copy.

The thing I don't like that I read from gamespy is that you can only use the new themed rides in that particular scenario or area. You can't mix them.

That reviewer seems very unfamiliar with the game. Sandbox mode? Make a scenario - takes a few minutes and you can do whatever you want. Hello!

I think what he's saying is that, for example, the asian theming is only available in the asian scenarios for the premade inclusions. I'd be willing to bet you can mix and match just like before if you make your own workbenches (and who doesn't)

The way i read it, I think that you can't mix the theme types in the ready made scenarios. That is because they were not made available, but you should be able to make your own scenarios and be able to mix them to your hearts content. So you should be able to move the Taj Mahal to the South Pole if you want to.

I think RCT is on it's way out... and the only way to save it is for Sawyer to actually listen to the fans.

Thats true "The shy one" but he is the genious who made the game a success so I guess he know what he doing, and he is still making a lot of money from it.

Do you really think it's Sawyer who wanted to create this pack or Infograms?

I also will go and buy one. I am still hoping for a Intamin Rocket. I see at least 2 new rides so far if you look at those screenshots in the review so we still could get the rocket coaster.

In no way is RCT sales going to be go down hill. The game is a great game although it badly needs new thrill rides. Eventually I think we will get the new rides in possibly a RCT 3 type of game in like a year or two. Until then I see 1 or 2 more expansion packs.

There is a pic that shows the Xcelerator type trains, but it has a lift hill.

Nope, I don't think so. Here's a quote from rct2.com:

And...they can't just completely change the game in terms of gameplay with just an expansion pack. I agree with Jeff. It didn't live up to this guys expectations so it obviously must suck. I don't even think they could add a sandbox mode without having to re-make the game first.

Well, in my opinion, it looks like an amazing expansion pack. Theming is my schtick when it comes to coaster/park building, so I really can't see anything wrong with this. The game is called "Rollercoaster Tycoon" not "Flat ride Tycoon" - and in that aspect, they've pretty much covered every coaster type made. The only flaw is the absence of the rocket coaster which they're sure to fill in with this new expansion pack. :)

My feeling is this. As long as poeple are willing to shell out the money no matter how goodor bad it is, then you will never see the things many of you would like to see. The only thing that will bring about the change is to stop buying.Period.
