Voyage video - different ending

I was watching The Voyage's video (again for the 4000th time) and I just noticed that the ending on the video is different than the pictures show:

http://www.holidayworld.com/voyage_tunnels.html

In the above picture, you can see that after coming out of the second to last tunnel, you dive under the brake run. In the simulation you go over the top of the brake run after that tunnel.

Not a big deal, but I do wonder which ending is correct? I think I like the picture ending better because of the head chopper it would create diving under the brake run. Hmmmmm

I've emailed the GG fellows and will let you know.

(You're the second to ask this question, Cory; sorry, I can't watch the footage more than about once a week without getting vertigo.)

You're not in Louisville anymore, are you?

Also, I noticed that when going up the lift on the video, it seems like the overhead beam at the bottom of the lift is going to hit the camera, where in the link above it seems that its a farther distance.

Is it possible that these are from a 3D program instead of taken as a screenshot from NoLimits?

Nope and I *really* have missed Holiday World this summer...First time since 1997 that I haven't visited, but hopefully I'll be able to make it one weekend before the season is over!

I'm living in Florida and while it's great (my office overlooks the beach!), I do miss home and I especially will next summer...

It's pretty clear that the still images are rendered (think: not NoLimits... probably 3DStudio Max, kinda looks like Keith McVeen's work), while the video is a professional package of NoLimits. That, however, doesn't explain the discrepencies in the ending(s?) of the ride though. Lookin forward to what the GG guys have to say... kinda curious if they'd realized that already or if this is news to them.

I thought Keith said that it's absolutely a NoLimits track package.

Regardless, it doesn't explain it, but do we really care? I'm looking forward to the whole kit-n-kaboodle, even if it's not the same kaboodle as on the vid. ;)

It is No Limits, I'd imagine it is the developer version, the one that Coaster Designers can buy (and none of us could probably afford).
Actually, it's a customized version made just for GG.

Aparently the standard version couldn't accommodate the size of The Voyage. :)

Got an answer for you, Cory--

The simulation is correct. The graphic is an older version.

^ well I just watched the video again for the thounsandth time and it's woking just fine for me I have WMP10 also.
Paula, I thought the 'developer' version was totally custom to fit the devolopers needs? I could swear I read that somewhere. Not that it matters, We know it is no limits, and it still isn't enough to tide any of us over till next year...

;)

I'm certainly no expert ... I just remember being in a meeting with the Gravity Group guys and they said they had to have a customized version made to accommodate the size of The Voyage.

"Tide"?

Good one!
