...Is what P-Diddy would be saying if you hate Shivering Timbers.

Anyway, the 2005 wood coaster ballot is here:

I guess I'm going to die.

Until it's much easier I guess I'm going to miss out on all of the fun.

Nah, the instructions are deceptively difficult. Here's real world instructions courtesy of Gonch:

1. Remove any coaster you haven't ridden from the list.

2. Each coaster has 3 columns after it that read - n,n,0.

You can instantly change the first column to all 'y' at this point as every coaster left on the list after step one should be one you've ridden.

3. In the second column, change the 'n' to 'y' on all the coasters you rode this season. (in 2005)

4. Rank the coasters.

Change the zero on the third column to a number based on your rankings. Your favorite coaster is 1, your second favorite is 2, etc. You can rank ties if you'd like (two coasters ranked 3 or whatever)

Rank until you have given every coaster on your list an appropriate numerical spot.

5. Send it to Mitch.

(you also need to add your e-mail to the ballot in the appropriate spot, but if that's too complicated, then you don't deserve to vote ;) )

Can you design the next "butterfly ballot" for the senior citizens in Florida....they don't want to vote for Buchanan AGAIN...(well, Robertson this time, LOL)... ;)

At first I was also intimidated by the poll and thought it would take WAY too much time after reading the directions. Its not. Mitch definitely needs new, less cumbersome directions.

For those who have never done it before please use Gonch's easy directions. Then if you save your ballot from this year all you need to do is add the new coasters next year and rerank as needed. The second year I did the poll it took me all of 10 minutes to finish.

First time I have ever seen this poll. (I am new to the online coaster world.) Is the results list available in Excel format, or would I need to type all the data into Excel? I have already voted. I am trying to play with the numbers from last year's poll to do some head to head comparison of my own and make some charts and stuff, just for fun. *** Edited 11/4/2005 4:45:36 AM UTC by a_hoffman50***

While Gonch's instructions explain it very easily, if you still don't 'get it' (and don't feel bad, it is complicated till you understand how easy it is), just do like I did last year for the steel poll, and wait for the online version :).

I thought it was rather easy to fill out. I wanted an excel file of the 2004 results, but alas none exist.

The Excel file on the site isn't what you're looking for?

If I can figure it out and not **** it up too badly, anybody can do it. I did it the regular way, but had a few rankings yet to decide. Then just for the hell of it, I tried the method from the coaster fanatics site. That was so fast and easy (like some people I know) I decided to submit that version.

Piece-o-cake! Who cares I had only 18 coasters to rank?

^Meh, I still prefer paper ballots like the Golden Tickets.

I am sure I could tackle it but I am a VERY impatient person and if it "looks" too difficult and time consuming I wont' deal with it.

In other words I am lazy. :-D

It's not THAT important to me anyway. :-P

OK, I think people missed my post. If the ballot intimidates you, check out this site:

http://www.coasterfanatics.com/mitchpoll/

It's a web form that takes out all of the "what do I do now?"s out of the process and makes it pretty easy. If that intimidates you, how do you manage to post a message to Coaster Buzz? LOL

Yeah, that web form is pretty nice, but honestly, if you have a track record of any size it actually takes longer to do than the text form by hand.

Nice to see someone trying to make it accessible to all. :)
