Vote for your favorite PA coaster

In an effort to promote the new voting machines in PA, the state has come up with a five week state wide poll on different items. Some of the past ones have been favorite PA food, favorite PA toy, and this week (week 5) its PA's Favorite Coaster. You can vote at the follow address, http://www.votingbooth.state.pa.us/

Being a PA kid (and of voting age) this is pretty cool...thanks for the heads up link!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Cool....I voted for the Phoenix!

I really don't like registering for things like this but since PA is my "other home state" I thought I would for the heck of it.

I admit it was VERY VERY difficult, but I voted for Phoenix as well. Storm Runner was close as well as several "write-ins" I had in mind like Lightning Racer and Phantom's Revenge.

Too bad they didn't have one for steel AND wood. ;-)

I have to say, I have a soft spot in my heart for Storm Runner. I've ridden every seat on both trains on that ride, and it always delivers. That's what I voted.

Talon for me! Having visited Dorney a couple of weeks ago, the Talon crew was one of the best I've seen. You guys rock! Plus, they stayed late for us last year at the buzz event.

Why do I have the feeling that this is a way for the state of PA to track it's voters? I was all set to join in the fun until I saw that I would have to register on Pennsylvania's Vote Registration site.

You should always be registered to vote anyway...unless you're under 18....or a convicted felon... ;)

That's your PA PSA for the day...and it rhymes!

edit: Not being a PA resident, I'll just say (I have NOT ridden SR) my votes go to Phoenix and PR...

I don't think out of state residency (or not breathing for that matter) has kept people from voting in PA elections in the past.

Phan, it's just a little gimmick to get people in different counties acquainted with the new voting machines that many of them will be using for the first time in today's primary.

This wasn't like a real election though... I wanted to vote for every coaster on that ballot. When I go to vote, I usually look at the ballot and say "You mean I have to pick one of these clowns?" :)

At the very least this made me realize that three of my top ten coasters are in PA.

PSA from Harrisburg PA...

The governor would like to remind everyone to "vote early and vote often."

In a related story...

Election officials are hurrying to make sure that generators are set up in all cemeteries in the Philadelphia areas so that there will be a source of electricity to power the new voting machines to be used by those people interred there.

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"
Of the choices listed I would have chose Talon. I chose to write in Comet at Hersheypark. I know there are better coasters out there but Comet it definetly my favorite.

I just used a spam e-mail address and chose a different county than the one I live in.

What were the choices?

I gather Talon, Phoenix, and Storm Runner were on there.

Lightning racer and Phantom were not?

Phoenix, Storm Runner, Talon, Thunder Bolt [sic], Write In. This is supposed to be an entertaining way to show people how to use the new electronic voting machines, not a scientific roller coaster survey.
I'm going with a heavy write-in campaign for the dark horse candidate--- Hercules. What the heck, if dead people can vote, why can't a defunct coaster win? :)
Too late. :) Storm Runner wins with 1,159 votes.
Foul! They were giving away Hershey bars to the voters!
