Vortex's Restraints

Personally, I think other people my age(13) would enjoy Vortex better if Arrow or PKI put padding on the horse collar. I get a major headache from this ride and there's nothing I can do about it. When your 5'3" your in that line of fire...it's painful. If there are other kids about 13, I'd like to hear you opinion.

You can't run and you can't hide...the beasts at PKI
How Tall are you? It makes a diference Im only 14 and 6ft.
I am 15 and 5' 5" and it dosen't bother me.
honestly the padding probably wont help. i'm 19 and 5'10", so i've never had any problems with the basic arrow OSTR's. look at the padding on OL:FOF. all that padding never helped anyone, but they're changing cars and restraints on FOF so that doesnt matter. just think, you'll grow out of it. ;)

May the fleas of a 1000 camels infest your armpits for all eternity!!

Steel aint better, WOOD FOREVER!!!
got ya all beat. Im 6`4 and only 15, about to be 16. Let me tell ya, once you get that big, you dont have to worry about the OTSR, but your legs hitting the seat in front of ya!
I honestly think that PKI should use the open seating arrangements that some coasters use. I know B&M only uses them, but what the hell.

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 SFMW 2001 ...
I always wondered why advil was given out at gift shoppes. Never really needed it. Or, i just ignored the pain.

Here's a tip for you:
Pull the shoulder bar down snug (!). Once you've done that, wrap your arms around the @#$! thing. The idea is to do what the seat and restraint are not designed to do: stabilize your upper body. If your head does not clear the shoulder bar, then stick it out forward so that it is clear of the bar.
Variations on that tactic are usually pretty successful at reducing or eliminating headbanging.

I'm 13 and 4'11"( I know I'm short, don't laugh) And I think the Shockwave at SFGAm has the same problem, I bet they have the same ammount of headbanging. The only thing I have found out to do is to hold back your head really well.

If you are 12 then you are breaking the law by being a part of any internet registration type thing if I am not mistaken. I am 6' and just ignore pain in general. I am almost 15.

Puberty works different for everybody, that is why there is such a variance in heights. Anyways, if your head fits through the harness, it won't be as bad if your head fits nicely between the harness. Either way, your neck banging, or your head banging, it is never that pleasant. I'm 14, and sometimes, in sick perverted way, I like the jostling around. Not serious head banging, but a bump here or there just gets me more pumped when I am riding.
