Vortex Record

Does anyone know the record for the number of times ridding Vortex at Paramounts Kings Island during a normal 10-10 day?

I dunno, Eric. I heard about a guy who actually managed to ride it four times last season.

who would want to go for this record? I hope they are planning a week of bedrest after that one.

If somebody rode it in the back seat I think they'd survive. I think all 30 Helens would agree, too.

I would say about 5-6 times in one day, but that was when it was new and I was more tolerant of headbangers. :-)

I rode it 20 times in one day last season, and I know that can easily be broken, because I did quite a few other things that day I was there. Vortex is my favorite Arrow looping coaster and IMO is the best one out there. There are A LOT of days where the public just doesn't ride it, or care about it. I could ride it all day, I've ridden it twenty some times in one day, and I'd have ridden it 20 more if Racer hadn't of kept calling my name.

Age doesn't have a lot to do with the way Vortex rides. I'd imagine that most people that have been riding at PKI for a while would much prefer 1999 - 2004 Vortex, over say, 1991 - 1996 Vortex. Give or take a couple years, of course. :)

Yes Matt, but age has a lot to do with me.......lol. I was more tolerant of Vortex when I was 15 years old. LOL!
