Vortex broke it's chain!

Well, Andy, if its of any use to you, I didn't even get queasy on this stand up...

I'd go as far as to say that Chang is KK's sig. coaster, and that it is worthy of being a sig. ride.

That "ker chung" sound you reportedly heard wasn't the sound of the chain snapping,it was the sound of some poor soul fracturing their skull on the restraints.

Just ask Jeff....he's got personal experince in that dept. he was on supes at SFA when the chain snapped some 4 years ago....Jeff what did it sound like to you when it happened?

Seeing as how the chain broke somewhere under the lift and not on it, it didn't sound like anything. The only sound was the train smacking back on the anti-rollbacks when it let go. The next sound was a "whirring" sound under the train as the chain poured down the lift, and the faint din of the chain dog skipping about on some car further up the train (I was in the back).

Is Vortex back up and running yet? I'll be going there for the first time in a few days.

So, was it a chain break or wasn't it?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
Vortex was running about 3 hours after the problem. And no the chain did not break.

OK, so I made a mistake, it sure seemed like a break to me...

Dane, to heck with that gag order, I want to know what really happened!

Fine. You know what? You're RIGHT. The chain really did break.

One of the mechanics squeezed the broken link back together with a really a big pair of pliers and his teeth, then put it back around his neck--I mean, the lift hill.

Happy now?

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

Well, that was kind of rude.
