Vomit Comet rides soon to be available to the general public

Not sure this is newsworthy or even appropriate, but we are a thrill seeking group, are we not?

MSNBC is reporting - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5992077/ - that approval has been granted to offer 90 minute "Vomit Comet" rides in a specially outfitted Boeing 727. The rides promise to offer 15 "arcs" each 65 seconds in duration and each offering G's ranginf from 1.8G to 0G (for 25 seconds sustained) (Which accounts for 61 minutes of flight duration, I suppose if we count 15 minutes for take-off and initial assent, and 15 minutes for descent and landing, thats your 90 minute flight)

Price per ride: estimated to be $2,950, which includes required pre-flight training and a post flight banquet. Dramamine and other nausea-prevention meds are NOT included, and are to be furnished by the individual rider if so desired.

Is parking included in this price? :)

I'm guessing no, if you need to go to a normal airport. That's how they get you...

Sweet. I was always jealous of the folks who got to take the trip.

Sounds a bit expensive though.

That company is down here near me and even if I had the money I won't be getting in line. I like my stomach where it is.
