Vivendi hopes to unload Universal Entertainment this summer

Vivendi Universal is in talks with four or five groups on the sale of its U.S. entertainment business and a deal could be signed as early as this summer, sources close to the matter said on Tuesday. The enterprise value of the business -- stretching from Universal Studios to cable TV channels and theme parks -- is estimated around 15 billion euros, or just enough to wipe out the post-expansion debts of parent Vivendi Universal.

It's kinda funny that they bought this whole thing a year ago, changed their name, and then want to sell it off.

I really hope they sell it all in one package. I'd hate to see the movie, park, and music divisions all go to seperate companies.

Anyone up for the sale to Disney rumour? I don't think it would be a bad thing for the Resort. Except for ride up keep and maybe a long time between expansions and new parks and hotels that complteltly flop, other than those things I'm all for Disney moving in ;)

I really am a Disney fan, but the state the parks are in is disgusting but Jay Rasulo(sp?) is turning it around.
