Visionland questions

Hello. I'm a reporter for The Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News, and I'm working on a Sunday piece updating our readers on Visionland (30 minutes up the road in Bessemer).

I'd like to hear from some folks who've visited the park lately, especially since its Zoomerang went up. General comments on the park, of course, but also some specific praise/criticism/whatever on the Zoomerang.

There are various comments in the topic about Visionland here in the "General Buzz" as well as a trip report about the ACE event held there last weekend. I'm sure if you contacted the people (via private message) who's comments interested you they would be glad to help out.

I have been going to Visionland since the grand opening in 1998. I have seen the park mature into a great park. With the combination of the water park and theme park, a day at Visionland is a great value for the dollar. The Rampage is rated as one of the top wooden coasters in the nation. It has more surprises and thrills than an old fashion fun house. The Zoomerang is a great new addition to the park. The feeling of being turned upside down six times in less than a minute is quite exhilerating . Especially going through three loops backwards. From the placement on the hill to the bright yellow paint, you can see the coaster from almost anywhere in the park. Like all parks, the administration has made mistakes. Management has been able to learn from their mistakes and make improvements in customer service, park cleanliness and overall park experience. I am glad to see the people of AL getting out and showing support for AL's only theme park.
