Virtual Midway vs GTTP

Virtual Midway and Guide to the Point are possibly the two best Cedar Point sites on the web. I know CoasterBuzz is full of CP fans so I would like to see what site you guys think is the best.

I like CPVM better than GTTP just becuase it has so many pictures! Pictures of everything in the park you can imagine and they're of high quality too. The site on the whole just looks better too. GTTP is also a great site, I just prefer CPVM.

Here's a better battle for you: this topic vs. TOS. TOS wins every time.

"Look, we all go way back, and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it." "That was our pleasure." "I'd never been to Belize."

Yep, TOS is the undefeated champion, and there doesn't appear to be any decent challenger coming in the near future.

GTTP is meant to be more of a microcosm of what Coasterbuzz. (Even though it existed first :)) It's meant for discussion about the park. Not necessarily about a big gallery.

Virtual Midway is meant to be just that. The most complete Cedar Point experience on the Net. It shows views of the park you don't get anywhere else as well as many other bonuses like historical features. I doubt you could find those maps or park guides anywhere else except for sale on Ebay. The coverage of the new ride is definitely the best out there, and Walt (Gemini) needs to be commended on his pictures of the construction.

I'm getting my post in quick, before this thread is deleted.

Okay, my stop-watch starts...NOW!

I like GTTP more because of the forums.

I was a member of GTTP for a couple of years before I joined here. Yeah, I have been reading CoasterBuzz for a year, but only joined recently (so I could post :) )

Thank you for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your stay, here at Coasterbuzz. :)

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

OK, let's turn this thread around.

I like them both (for different reasons). CoasterBuzz is a window and GTTP is a pair of glasses that helps you see though that window.

There is a world out ther beyond Cedar Point! Most of us know that, but there are a few that just....well, you know.

Just to point out, you can't put GTTP and Virtual Midway up against each other. The two sites have in common the fact that they are both based around Cedar Point, but you really can't compare them. They compliment each other nicely, and trying to create a false sense of competition between the two sites is stupid.

Walt and I have known each other for years, and we've had discussions about how our sites are so differently positioned. Walt lives 20 minutes from the park, so needless to say he can take a lot more photos than I can of the construction. In many ways the sites compliment each other.

At the end of the day, who cares? Versus threads still aren't allowed here.
