It is nice to see that Cedar Fair is showing this level of commitment this early in the game. I have a gut feeling that Kings Dominion is going to get a strong focus from the Cedar Fair corporate office in the years to come. The factors I see are strong competition between 2 other park chains, Busch Gardens and Six Flags; a market base that has not really been tapped as fully as it can be; plenty of undeveloped land for expansion of the park and hotel/motel resort development by CF; also, there is undeveloped land adjacent to the existing park's southern boundaries that has been up for sale off and on for the last several years by either the same or different owners and that could be a future option for CF if they are interested in buying the land; and finally the park is right off of interstate 95 the main east coast highway from Maine to Florida.
