Viper at Sfgadv's restraints

When I went a few days ago for the second time I rode Viper and for the second time the next morniong I wake up with red scratches on the inside side of my shoulder. Has anyone else had this happen?

I've never seen the inside side of your shoulders, so no.

Kinda, but more its a minor brusing the reason I figured that has happened somtimes is, since the harnest hold ur shoulders so firmly it one spot, but ur body is getting trown around in it so you jut see and feel the effects the next day. Especialy if you are wearing a tang shirt where ones shoulders are exsposded, and bare skin is toching the harnest, not a good idea if ur wearing a tang shirt to get on it somtimes. The best rides I have had on Viper was times where I was wearing a coat in the freezing weather, its my own cushion.
That happened to my brother after he rode it... I told him it was dangerous!

Yes, I bruised my shoulder pretty bad on that thing. I haven't rode it since (of course I'm 500 miles away now so the opportunity doesn't come up often anyway).

Those restraints are dangerous for anybody over 4 feet tall. Be sure not to slouch in the seat when pulling the restraint down, sit up as straight as you can or else you'll be in serious trouble!

Viper would be an interesting ride if it had better designed restraints.

I have that happen me to also. I have know idea which coasters cause it. I usally notice them after I wake up the next day after a park or the before I go to bed. It's good to know I'm not the only one.

Never got one from Viper or anything else but my friend got one from X Flight.
Are these the same restraints as the ones found on Ultra Twister?

TOGO!
I dont know why they dont just remove the freaking restraints on Viper like they did with Batman/Robin Chiller. Those restraints totally ruin that ride

Anyone here remember FOF?
It sucked before
and now it rocks
I rest my case

O&A Rock! WOW!

If they take the OTSR out than they would have to add seat belts with with the lap bars because when your being hung upside down like that than it won't be too comfortable. They should take both lap bars and OTSR out and put in a cushioned OTSR that is comfortable I think it can be better.
I would say that they should change the restraints to the kind on a flying coaster (just the vest part) but that would probably be next to impossible and if possible expensive. Isn't Viper down most of the time anyway?

It was closed all last season and I've been there 11 times this year and it was closed 7 times. But Batman The Chiller was down 9 and Robin all 11.
