Viper at SFAW

I recently downloaded a video of Viper at Six Flags Astroworld. The video is from 1991 (I think) and I believe the ride is not there anymore. If anybody knows, would they please tell me what coaster manufacturer made it. I think it is Schwartzkopf sp? but I don't know for sure. Thanx for the feedback.

Favorite Coasters(in order)
1. Mean Streak 2. Shockwave SFGAm 3. Shivering Timbers 4. Magnum XL-200 5. Batman: The Ride SFGAm

I haven't rode any of em'

Its still there, its a schwatzy, its a relocated coaster (suprize suprize) and its actually a decent coaster.

Summer 03-CP, HP, SFDL, SFNE, SFWOA, and SFGAm.

It IS there, It IS made by Shwartzkoph, and It has the coolest looking tunnel. I believe the ride you think is removed is Texas Tornado, now Zonga at SFMW , also made by Shwartzkoph.

Dang , Touchdown beat me.

Rode it in 2001, and (believe it or not) I'd say it has the most perfect verticle loop I have ever ridden. Anton's the man.

SCREAM with me... in 2003!

The Viper at SFAW began it's life as Jet Scream at Six Flags St. Louis. It opened in 1981 at SFSL, was removed at the end of 1988 and opened at SFAW in 1989.

It was light blue at SFSL and was repainted green and the tunnel was added when it was moved to Six Flags Astroworld.

It has one of the scariest head choppers if you're sitting on the right side of the train after coming out of the loop. There's a curved piece of track that seems like it's awfully close to your head.

If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
How much of the first drop does the tunnel cover?

Raging Bull is best when you're first. [6/16/03]

I think it's about half.

That coaster was very fun when it was at SFStL. I rode the JetScream the debut year it opened. It's a very compact coaster!
;) Ok... it's spelled Schwarzkopf (why do I feel I'm repeating myself?).

It IS as bad as you think, and they ARE out to get you.

doesn't anyone use Roller Coaster Database here? ( www.rcdb.com )
