I am still wondering what is going on with this ride. It is September which is the month they were rumored to tear it down and I was there yesterday and there is no sign that its coming down. Also if you look at the track there is a light rust which means something was running on the tracks b/c it would be a dark rust if nothing was running for a long time. The wielding is done so what's the hold up. Another strange thing was that the lights are on in the station and so are the fans. Anyone know whats going on or do we have another Drachen Fire.

When I went to SFGAdv this year, I talked to the manager of a store by Viper and he said they were gonna tear it down in September. He wasn't some young teenager kid that would just tell what he thinks is gonna happen, so I kind of beleive him. I just hope he wasn't right because that ride looked pretty cool.

I heard they were getting new trains, and making it smoother. Well, we just have to wait and see. But I sure hope it does not come down because it is an awesome ride experience, travelling through rings, the first drop which is awesome, the heartline roll, which holds you upside down, and the second heartline roll which feels like you will fall right over. I thought it was a fabulous ride, and its one of its kind.

I agree Viper is one of the best rides there.

The official Coaster Celebration event flyer/registration form says Viper will be running during one of the ERT sessions for that event (Sept 15). That is the form they mailed to me upon my telephone request for it. I will believe it when I see it during that day. Hopefully the form is correct, why would they announce that otherwise? (It also says Rolling Thunder will be "greased!"). I don't know if that means Viper will be open to the GP that day. I was at SFGAdv on 8/29 for my first ever visit and both Viper and RT were not running all day (although I knew Viper would not be).

I aslo heared that Viper was getting ne trains. I was on Runaway Train a couple days ago and I saw some trains in the station. There weren't trains there before so maybe they're new trains.
