VIP tour at SFGAdv

I am making a trip from SC to GAdv SFNE and dorney the last week in july. My main question is with the VIP tour at GAdv.

Has anyone ever done the tour, and do you think it would be needed to get rides in on all of the coasters on a half day at the park.

Any help on any of the other parks will be appreciated!

If you're doing a weekday, you could do all the coasters that aren't KK in half a day. (check the park strategies post on the bottom of pg 4 of the travel tips thread). I'd probably recommend a q-bot though.

If you're going on a weekend or you want to hit kingda ka, a q-bot will probably not get you everything. I would recommend the VIP tour, though I've never done it myself.

I was reading about it and I've seen some people in the park doing it before. It seem to be pretty cool. You get a tour guide who takes you to all the rides and explains a bunch of stuff to you. Once you get the ride they walk you up the exit and get you on the train and I think you can pick the row too. good luck and have a safe trip.

Thanks,

It's funny you post this. I too only have part of a day to visit the same SFGAdv this Sunday, since I will have to be back to NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom that night by like 5pm, and am considering purchasing the self guided VIP pass. I really want to be able to ride more than a couple plus KK. *** Edited 6/8/2005 1:57:00 AM UTC by SnakeEyes***
oh I should note I will be going by myself.
Going to ECW One Night Stand that night? Lucky you...where'd you get seats?

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

Yep, going to One Night Stand, seats are in promenade 3, row 3, where ever the hell that is. Ticketmaster.com listing just says it's behind the floor seats but the seating chart doesnt have a label that corresponds, it's probably one of the chart's bleacher sections. More than I wanted to spend but it's ECW, I had too.

I'm flying in on Saturday night, didnt want to leave Friday because the local PDL soccer team, which I organize a supporters club for, plays it's first of two nights in a row, and I have to fly back Monday afternoon to get back home for work on Tuesday as I have little vacation time left when I factor in plans later on this year (am going to Columbus for USA vs Mexico World Cup Qualifier and Cedar Point the next day) which leaves me no choice but to go to SFGAdv prior to the PPV on Sunday. *** Edited 6/8/2005 3:06:54 AM UTC by SnakeEyes***

Get the gold q-bot if you can spare the cash. That'll almost guarantee you doing everything on a weekend. Unless the VIP tour is cheaper. Bottom line, get KK first thing in the morning. I was there last saturday, got 2 rides on KK in a span of 7 hours, thanks (partly) to the regular q-bot.

You won't see me coming...

Coy,

You lucky guy, we missed it when we went after CB Con, it was closed to weather.

And to think I was going to ride it before you, what was I thinking, hehehe.

If I ever make it to NYC, we will have to powerride some coasters again like we did at CBCon.

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

I reserved my time for VIP today for the last four hours I plan to be at the park. That way I can hopefully maximize its usefulness with hopefully all the coasters up and running. I'll let ya know how it goes.
