I was thinking of this when I was at SFO earlier this year. About half way thru the ride at the top of the one turnaround there is a straight flat section of track that looks like a midcoure could be added. I personally think it would be ideal for some trick track. It would have to go to each side and be more banked than the other piece though.:) So is this for future midcourse if guest relations gets too many complaints about the Villian being rough?

Villain was originally designed to run three trains, and could if they wanted to. This flat area after the second turn around was intended for a block brake. The story goes that Six Flags decided instead to use three trains on The Boss instead, leaving Villain with two and eliminating the need for a block at that point. Frankly it doesn't need three trains if they're dispatching quickly. Heck, even slowly they should have enough time.
Remember, midcourse brakes exist mostly to isolate the blocks of the ride, not to trim speed. They are, however, often used for just that purpose.
