Viking Fury

I have a question. Does anyone know of other locations of viking fury rides? There is a ride example I know of at Nagshima Spaland. Here is a picture. http://coastergallery.com/japan/N08.html I think that this ride would be so awesome. The feeling I get on a pirate ship is so more intense in my stomach than on a roller coaster. I live in Detroit and want to know if there are any closer to me than Japan. Thanks

i went on one at the "melbuorne show" in Australia and it made me feel sick it was the worst ride ever! I cant believe that you think that its better than any rollercoaster, by the way everyones entitled to their own opinion.

I wonder who said they liked it better than a roller coaster, considering he said he got a more intense feeling from it.

87 different coasters for this year and counting... 149 total!

I like the swinging ships alot. It sure looks tiny compared to the Viking Fury. I would love to try it and I understand the feeling in your stomach that your talking about.

Indiana Beach Guide

well Viking Fury IS the worlds largest :p
I believe Intamin has plans on their website and is able to build one much larger than Viking Fury. On Intamin's website (http://www.intaminworldwide.com/i_products_roundrides.htm) they claim they can reach capacity of up to 350, while Viking Fury only holds about 100.

The one pictured is an Intamin Dueling Viking Fury. PKI has a single sided version that was installed in the early 1980's. Until the one pictured was built, PKI's was the largest in the world.

I don't think that PKI has a version as large as the one in nagashima. That one has to be over 150 feet tall. It would be like 10 150 foot coaster drops in a row. Forwards and backwards.!
Huss also makes a similar and equally impressive ride in their dreamboat: http://www.hussrides.com/522ClassicDreamboat.htm

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the one at Nagashima Spaland (the original one pictured) is just that - a Huss Dreamboat.

The Other Siebert

OH MY that is huge structure! I get sick on the ones that just rock back and forth for some reason, but I can do Berserker @ PKD with no problems. I just don't get it!

Forget swinging ships, Intamin Looping Starships are great fun. Now only if they'd pad those rock hard fibreglass seats with something softer. Same goes for the OTSRs.

Btw I'm referring to Wonderland Sydney's Bounty's Revenge.
