I have been ordering Robb's videos for four years now, and I must admit that each year I get nervous that Robb will let the growing popularity of said videos go to his head ... and he will use cheap/tacky gimmicks to try and out-do the videos from the previous years. However, this isn't the case. Robb (and Elissa) manage to capture, year after year, what the 'commercial' coaster doccos always seem to miss ... And that's the FUN of going to an amusement park. Robb does away with geeky stats, stupid top 10s, and asinine commentaries, to focus, simply, on FUN! (Something that I think some enthusiasts seem to forget about ;) ).
Robb Alvey's Coaster Season 2002 is a terrific 90 minute romp around some fantastic US parks. The music is fun, the people make me laugh, and the coasters are as loopy as always.
I highly recommend this video to anyone who wants a piece of summer fun, in the middle of winter. Not only is Robb almost giving these things away, but he allows videos to be returned if one does not enjoy the show - there's really no excuse not to get one! ;)
If I were to sum it up in just one sentence, I think I would have to say: It's a great movie, it has special effects!
I just got Coaster Season 2002 and Coaster Footage 2002 and I was very impressed. These were the first movies I had purchased from Robb and Elissa and now I plan on getting the 2001 videos and the ECO videos also. The movies have great coaster footage and they are pretty funny too. Great job!
Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here and drink whatever comes out."
Thanks for posting the review! It really keeps us going! I've been up to the early a.m. hours the past couple of days since I got back from xmas vacation copying videos and catching up on the orders while I was away. It's like having two full time jobs and it's posts like these that make us realize it's all worthwhile!
Thanks again, and I'm glad you guys liked the videos. =)
