If I can interrupt the Six Flags Great America, and Cedar Point fights .. aahh .. conversations for a moment, to tell you about this amazing new 'amateur' video! ;)
I have been getting the Robb Alvey videos since 1999, and never fail to enjoy them. Robb and Elissa certainly delivered 70 minutes of pure fun this time around, as well. Robb has such a nack for capturing the fun atmosphere of these parks, and it's this that I enjoy so much.
I honestly didn't know whether or not to be happy or depressed while I watched. Happy for those who were obviously having a terrific time .. or depressed because I was not one of them! I decided to settle for Happy ... mainly because I had trouble not laughing at both the humorous footage, and terrific editing. (Although I am VERY happy I got to miss out on the Pintins experience!! (Even more scary, is the fact that our school camp was EXACTLY like that! From 5th grade to 11th, we were bussed up to an old army barracks for two weeks a year, in the middle of no-where .. shudder .. I still wake up screaming!))
It was quite a surprise to see Robb's Colossus proposal on there .. very sweet! (Although I request that the camera be turned off on the wedding night!! :) ).
In all seriousness, this video is extremely entertaining, and does a wonderful job showing off those marvelous European coasters and parks. Many were coasters which I have been wanting to see in action .. and some were down-right spectacular (the footage of Colossus, for example).
Anyway, I cannot fathom the amount of time/work that Robb and Elissa put into this video, and the finished product is just wonderful! This surpasses the 'professional' shows on every level, it really puts those to shame.
Highly recommended.
