Video Card situations w/ rct3

had to update video card to play rct3 and now rct1&2 both look like crap. anyone else having simular problems? thanks

Stop being so anal Avalanche, geez. This isn't grammer school, this is a coaster site, the poor guy is asking for advice, or is wanting to see if anybody is experiencing the same thing. He didn't post so you could tell him to correct his capitalization and grammar, my god. If you didn't have anything to say about the problem joeshell is having, then don't post a comment like he was stupid or something, and feeling that yourself is above him for using "proper capitalization and grammer" GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

Joe: at first had probs w/ some games. rct1&2 looked about the same, but MOH-AA and Battlefield 1942 looked like crap. w/those, i had to change video settings to the max, and then everything looked better than ever.
I went w/a Geforce mx4000 128mb card, and am very impressed w/it thus far.
BTW: i was able to understand your post just fine.

What's really funny is the fact that Sam misspelled grammar (unless he was referring to Kelsey "Frasier" Grammer.) Not to mention that his use of punctuation was incorrect as the comma is not needed.

I'll admit that spelling and grammar are more highly regarded here than on similar forums; however, I'm thinking that the moderators have slightly more friendly ways of asking people to change the way they post. Now, onto the question...

The most important question is always the driver one, as even the newest cards probably don't come packaged with the latest driver technology from the manufacturer. Windows might have also attempted to install a "generic" video driver, which always seems to suck. Make sure that you have the latest driver from the maker of your card.

Since the problem is usually the other way around (RCT 1 and 2 look fine, RCT3 runs poorly), it might help if you gave us the specifications of the card that you upgraded to. There are no guarantees that we'll be able to provide an answer, but a user might be familiar with a particular card's compatibility with the previous RCT games.

AvalancheSam needs to cool it. The guy was just trying to ask for help. Anyways, i have a Radeon 7000 VE it works just fine except for reflections, but all of my games run superb with it. Check and make sure you have the latest driver for that card.

Exactly... I'd assume that you would step in if someone was a continued problem. It drives me nuts when people go ballistic because someone broke a rule on the ToS, when all that's necessary is a friendly nudge to the ToS without the smart*** comments...
