I'll be going on monday and will hopefully get a ride or two on it. I think going backwords through the inline twist should be great.

I was there yesterday and they had just finnished the rubber floor. It tested a couple of times right after the park closed too. I also talked to a few ride-ops and they all said it would open friday but they also said it won't go 72 miles per hour anymore.
It looked really cool and I wish I hadn't used all my film before they tested it!

How much more floorless can they get?
Well I know they put a smaller wheel on it so that it slows down faster or something like that. Yeah, I may be there either Monday or Tuesday. It was still really loud when I saw it test though!

PLEASE BE OPEN!! PLEASE BE OPEN!! PLEASE BE OPEN!!!
Constepated Tester: The reason Xcel has to test 1000 times is because its a prototype and they need to make sure everything works right (which nothing ever does). V2, 1: is not a prototype and B: it just needs to test enough to get the launch speeds right.

Why doesn't V2 have to test 1000 times like Xcelerator did? You can't tell me it has already because its only been testing for a week.
I believe because it uses the same trains and a previously used systems it doesn't have to test 1000 times. It was Intamin that choose to test Xclerator 1000 times before handing it over to the park.
So basically, not on a modified ride.

V2 will go just as fast if not faster than it used to, the LENGTH of the spike is now 212 ft I believe, the old spike of course was 185 feet long and high.
That front spike is 212 ft now? Wow!! If thats the case I would assume they can launch the train forward at 70 MPH but going toward the back spike it would be slowed down.

""To be the man, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!, You got to beat the man""!!!
The actual length of the spike has *little* to do with the speed of the ride. If both spikes are 150' max (height), then the train will be ascending both towers at the same speed. Just because the front spike is longer, it's still 150' high, which is what determines the speed.
