Vertigorama

Vertigorama is a twin Intamin roller coaster located at Parque de la Ciudad. It was built in 1983 and it features a length of 3651 feet and 7 inches, it has a height of 124 feet and 10 inches, it has a top speed of 56.5 MPH, and there are no inversions. There are 6 trains with 7 cars per train, and riders ride 2 across for a capacity of 28 riders per train. The thing about Vertigorama, it never opened. From it's construction in 1983, it has never opened. According to RollerCoasterDataBase, where I got all this information, Vertigorama has all it's track, it just doesn't have the computer components needed to run the ride. Does anyone have any information on this ride? I thought it was pretty strange and I want to learn more.

Vertigorama has opened before. I rode it in 97', rough and slow monster it is and it's only one track by the way. It has the operational equitment, there are just some governmental problems over the ownership of the park, and by the way Anaconda rules!!!

Here is all you would want to know about Vertigorama. Including a No Limits version of the ride and the ride layout.

This includes on ride photos from 2001 if that answers your question about still being closed.

If it is only one side, why are there two tracks?

Two sides...one track. When the trains are returning to the station they cross and enter on the opposite side that they left from. So really, it's one track that wraps around twice.
