Vekoma...why so bad???

Vekoma has quite a few custom layouts, so that's an untrue statement. Regardless, why is it Vekoma's problem (if you can call it a problem) that many of their layouts are duplicated?

Everest is one of their best coasters ever IMO. Also the new restraints that are on Carolina Cobra are very nice. It makes a boomerang fun to ride.

Good to know. I don't find Boomerangs particularly fun or thrilling, but I'll ride 'em. I'll be at Carowinds Sunday for my birthday. I rode CC as Head Spin at GL, but the new location is virgin territory for me.

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

To paraphrase Will Rogers, I never met an SLC I didn't dislike.

The Disney coasters aside, I found most of their inverting coasters to be fairly rough. The compact layouts and shock-transferring suspension combined with OTSRs to make some pretty unpleasant rides.

The vests on CCobra were pretty much miraculous IMO. The extended layouts on some of the UK rides like Kumali and Millennium, as well as their Motorbike coaster....all pretty much rocked. I got more roughness on the two back-row rides on RnRC today. The mouse at Idlewild isn't really that special....the park it's at is, and the tree cover Vekoma's not too bad. The "typical" SLC and Boomrangs have transitions that are too abrupt for the OTSRs. The kiddie inverts...they plain suck.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

They'd be more than happy to make a custom coaster. They are only building what the customer is asking/paying for.

SLCs...roughness aside. The layout is pretty fun, designed in a way the queue can snake through the ride & doesn't take up too much space, I guess.

The roughness does kill them though.

Nothing to see here. Move along.
