vekoma inverts

are they any good or are they terribly rough. i need to know this so i know how much asprin to take with me to SF:WOA this summer.

Serial Thriller hurts. People say that this year it doesn't hurt because they got new pads on the restraints. But they're wrong Both times i rode it this year it hurt my head. Take a good amount of Asprin but only if you ride Mind Eraser and Raging Wolf Bobs along with Serial Thriller.

Well, ride it just to get another coaster in your track record. But make it towards the end of the day so you don't have a headache all day. SLC's are nice layout, if only B&M had come up with it...
SLC's are moody. It depends on when you catch them. I've had great rides on them, I've had mediocre rides on them, but the horror stories are exaggerated.

how is an SLC special? i mean, i dont understand what exactly it is. is it just a special layout or am i completely off?

Actually, Raging Wolf Bobs, Serial Thriller, and Mind Eraser all happen to be on the top of my favorite SFWoA rides.

Especially Raging Wolf Bobs.

When is the last time you were to SFWoA? Just kidding, I'm not trying to diss your likes/dislikes.

Planned parks: Astroland, Knoebel's, Hersheypark, SFNE, SFGadv,SFGam,CP,PKI,PKD,PCW,HW,Indiana Beach,SFWOA,SFKK,SFDL,SFSTL,Lakemont,DelGrosso's... Need I say more?

I found Serial Thriller to be a good ride. I power rode that along with Batman:KF. The OTSR's are different with all of the extra hard rubber preventing you from raising your hands. The leg choppers on ST are absolutely insane.

Visited SFWoA for the first time a couple weeks ago and unlike many on these boards, I enjoyed the park.

I dont care what people think, u have to be freaking weak to get headaches from a Vekoma. I think they are fun, and head banging is NEVER as bad as people say it is. But then again, I dont even get hurt on The Manhatten Express... ;)

SLC's are like cookie-cutter inverts. The custom SLC's stray a tad from the default shape. I dig their layouts - tight and intense. I wish they'd be more physically merciful on the riders though. I think, kinda like the Premiere spaghetti bowl coasters, if they became less physically brutal their popularity would increase by a few factors at least. My experience has been from Mind Eraser at SFA. Kinda a fitting name - the head-bashing kinda erases the mind ha ha ha - and I always sit in the front, can't imagine how it is in the back of the train.

The back is the most comfortable, the front is the worst. Just thought you should know!

Last summer when i rode Serial Thriller at SFWoA, i didnt get a headache at all, in fact i thought it was smooth as butter. GO FIGURE ! Believe it or not, it actually made me a little queasy to the stomach, because the first drop is banked, and it stays banked to the ground, and then it immediately straightens out into that huge pretzel roll....it really got my stomach, it was some very unexpected heavy G's. But i rode it 2 more times :)

Hurray! that is what I want to hear!

Frankly last week whhen I rode Serial Thriller I was scared to death. Mind Eraser was B and M smooth I actually liked it. Raging Wolf Bob's OMG that thing is the roughest coaster I have ever rode in my life. I will never ever bad mouth another coaster again. the Bob's beat them all.

I LOVE Manhatten Express! I thought it was as smooth as any B&M, yeah it is pricey but that second inversion is WAY too insane to miss! I can handle Shockwave easy too, you just need to "learn how to ride!" I really don't think those Vekoma SLC's can be THAT bad, I think they look pretty awesome especially that double barrel roll!

La Vie Boheme!!!

Premier Speghetti Bowls aren't painful at all actually, I rode T2 at SFKK and it wasn't bad I don't remember feeling pain but that was 4 years ago.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

I must have ridden RWB at least 15 times in one visit last year and I had a blast! Sure it bounces around the track but that's half the fun :)

RWB is not bad at all in the front-front of the train. Everywhere else is very shaky. Serial Thriller is not bad at all. Its not headbanging rough anymore since the very soft pads, but Mind Eraser was very rough last time I rode. I will not ride again ;)

I agree with you SteveWoa. I won't ride Mind Eraser again this year because it hurt so much, i don't even know why i rode it in the first place. I thought Serial Thriller still hurt a bit but improved from last year. Rwb though, that really improved. I thought it would be really bad and rough but it wasn't all that bad, atleast compared to last year. I rode it in the back and that was actually pretty fun. But i rode second to the front and it hurt so much i got a pain inside my chest. I wasn't the only one too, my bro, and the people behind us both said their chests hurt too.

VEKOMA INVERTEDS ARE CLEARLY INFERIOR TO B&M INVERTEDS. PERIOD.

They're still fun, though!
