While all of these coasters have involved new technology which frequently results in delays, there are many things that affect coaster construction schedules that have nothing to do with the coaster company involved.
Number one is weather. I was at SFA today, and they were pouring concrete on a Sunday to try to make up some of the time lost on Batwing due to the heavy rains that we have had the last week. For those who haven't worked in construction, in addition to the overtime for the workers, you pay a major premium to have them start up the concrete batch plant to make concrete for you on a Sunday.
Other factors are soil conditions, zoning approvals, inspections, late deliveries, availability of subcontractors, and many others.
