I have been into Star Trek for many years and I have found my heaven. I was in Vegas last weekend and I saw the Star Trek Experience at the LV Hilton. It is a star trek sim ride and is really great. I was amazed at how much detail they went into about Star Trek and the history of the show. I just found their web site if you want a preview before you go. www.startrekexp.com If you have any interest at all I would go see it.
I agree. This has to be one of the best attractions in Vegas. I'm not even a Star Trek fan and I thought it was great. High points: the detailed history timeline in the queue and the part of the experience where you step into an elevator, lights go out, roaring wind blows, and when the lights return, you are on the bridge of the Enterprise.
Doh! You gave away the suprise! Yeah, it is the best ride in Vegas, especially if you don't know the suprise (I didn't, and at first I was mad about the idea of spending $28 on a stinking motion simulator)...

And bigboy, that's not quite it... I believe you first end up in the transporter room, then they lead you to the bridge, through a turbolift! Then there is a second turbolift with some nasty suprises, and the motion sim is cool except the ending is cheesy... The plot takes place in the "Next Generation" timeframe, and you can even reserve the bridge for weddings(I'm sure your parents will be thrilled about that.)

If you are a Star Trek fan, you simply must go. The timeline actually follows the plot of all the Star Trek shows, and tons of props from the show are on display, including Spock's 'Coffin' from Star Trek II. Some are even for sale (Klingon Warrior Outfit = $5,000) Oh, and the $28 fee is also an all-day pass(which is still the minimum purchase.)

They also have a Star Trek themed casino, for all us 21+ buzzers... Okay, the only difference is that there is a motion detector on the slot machines instead of an arm to pull down, but you can also order a 'Warp Core Breach' which is made with 4 different gins!(Sorry, I love the name of that drink)...
