I go here sevarl times a year. This was a good week to go. Mind everyone that this was my first trip with my girlfriend, and I do see alot of shows and gamble quite a bit, but the coasters are pretty good. I first went to the Stratosphere, rode the Big Shot, which in my opinion, the greatest thrill for the dollars. Lame duck coaster was down for 'enhancements'. Then went across the street and rode Speed. A wee bit pricey at $8, but they have a $19.99 package that includes the indy simulator, which is pretty good. The ride is only like 35 seconds long,it is packed with action, and the 224 ft. climb up the tower is great. Then went to Primm, rode the Desperado, which is still awesome. The log flume was closed for repairs, but it didn't matter. If you keep your ticket stub, it gets you on the Manhattan Express at NYNY for half price, which is $5. I think $10 is way to steep for that rough and tumble togo. It still had some crowds. If you want the front seat, you must tell them, and you q off to the side. If not, you must go where they tell you. If you pay $10, you should be allowed to choose. Adventuredome was great as usual. There are $4 off a ride all day coupons in several magazines, leaving you only $12.95 for a pass. The Canyon Blaster is my Strip favorite, and the Rim Runner with the double dip is a blast. Rumors are abound that the rim runner is being removed, so ride it soon. The IMAX Funhouse show is also great for everyone, and who can argue with any park thatis airconditioned. On side notes, the World of Coca Cola is closed, but the retail shops and the bottle elevator is still open. The new Desert Passage shops at the new Alladin is good, with the changing skyline and frequent rainstorms. And, Wayne Newton still puts on a kick butt show at the Stardust.
