Various types of airtime...personal preferences...

For me, there's actually several kinds of airtime. I've classified the "floater" air as found on Nitro, and I guess epitomized by S:RoS (I've only ridden SFA's) or S:TE at SFMM. Then there's the "bucking" air like Dania Beach Hurricane...throws you forward, throws you back. Knoebels' Hi-Speed Thrill Coaster in the back with a fast lift seems to be the fullest extent of this kind of air. Then there's what I've determined to be "lateral air" that throws you up and to the side. Gwazi has some on both sides, as does Raven, but this type of airtime reaches its logical conclusion on Roar (again, SFA's). Then there's the "stand-up" air I found recently on the front of the ThunderHawk, and loved, until I rode the front of Phoenix, and it became the S:RoS of woodies for me, a large slice of Heaven on Earth. What names have you given to types of airtime, and what are your favs....

Best air by far is ejector air and there is an abundance of ejector air on SROS at SFNE, the best hyper on earth!!

For lateral air try the back row of Wildcat at Hershey. My favorite air machine is Phoenix, just hang on tight.

Sethman, are you sure about SROS having ejector air. If its anyhting like MF's air I would clasify it as floater. To me, ejector is what Magnum has, the violent/throw you up into your lapbar airtime.

*IF* S:ROS had airtime like Miliie, I too would call it floater. *BUT* the airtime on S:ROS is WAY more violent than on Millie. Anybody who has ridden both would agree (well maybe not Jeff because he only got to ride the lift hill on SFA's S:ROS ;))

Floater air. It's great, and it gives you that sinking feeling in you're stomach, which is one of the reasons I love coasters.

I've got laser eyes, and I know what you're thinking. It comes to no surprise, the Christmas lights are blinking.

I really love the combined ejector/floating air on Shivering Timbers in the front. I love being forcefully launched out of my seat, and hovering momentarily. It's like nothing else I've experienced.

I like the floater air on Viper at SFGAm and the Ejector air I get on Raging Bulls first drop and all throughout the cornball express.
