Sad news to report. The owner of Oaks Park, and founder of Playland Park in Vancouver passed away this week. Robert Bollinger also helped build the Coaster at the Puyallup Fair among many other contributions to the amusment park industry. A tribute page had been set up at:

Hmmm... That's too bad, but we do pass, don't we? I'll be grateful to him for reviving the PNE, and for keeping the Coaster: Thrill Ride up and running in mint condition.

God bless his memory and his family.

I know that this old news by now. I am surprised that I didn't hear about this sooner. A few years ago I had some e-mail correspondence with Mr. Bollinger.Iwas hoping to meet him in person some day.Of course I haven't been on Coasterbuzz much lately due to other issues in my personal life.
