The fall from grace started on page 6 in the thread here: (http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Topic/tsunami-now-a-sensative-word). The whole thread is good reading though. Basically, the thread was locked because it delved into sillyness and Playa went back three days later after the post was locked and fell off the main discussions page 1 and edited his post to try and call me and Gonch out.

I caught it only because I was writing a story for ARN&R (Memba them?) and went "Woah?! Did he edit his post AFTER it was closed?" He had, and he got upset that he got called out for it (On here and ARN&R).

Moosh, Gonch, and myself edited ourselves accordingly.

Well that's kind of silly. Did he leave because of that?

He stopped posting as much and eventually fell off after that. He's sporadically posted here and there, but I don't see anything since 2009. Good Riddance.

Thanks for posting that, Tek. I quite enjoyed being able to vote up a few of Moosh's posts posthumously.

Tek, thanks for the link back to that thread. That was before my time and I had been (Captain) oblivious to all of it. It does leave me with some thoughts/questions:

- Whenever someone asks what has happened to CoasterBuzz, the answer henceforth will be that it is a much nicer place now then it was in January of 2005.

- Did they ever change the names of the Tsunami wave pools? The whole thing seems kind of silly now.

- I wish I had the opportunity to meet Moosh.

- I'm waiting for you guys to go back and edit your posts 7 1/2 years ago to get the last word on Coasta.

- Whatever happened to TeknoScorpion? I miss him. ;)

- How did that threesome/fourgy work out for you guys? Was there a trip report that I missed?

I don't see what any of that fuss was about, or why anyone would stomp off in a tizzy, hissy, or foshizzy. The forum sure sucked then, without the moderation log. Now nothing is ever truly edited or deleted for good, and we can see everything that went on.

That was an interesting thread. It reflected how we all thought in a time just a few years after 9/11 where the event was still fresh in our minds. While the discussion was based on the Tsunami, little did everyone know that Katrina was right around the corner as well.

I did get a chuckle though out of Gonch's examples of 'poor taste' names for bumper cars and being forced to kill people to end the chance of rides being named Gonchar. Classic.

Not sure. I know they changed the name of the coaster to J2, and then Hellcat. IIRC, they changed it from Tsunami because of the Tsunami.

He was the nucleus of the community for a lot of people.

Doing something that stupid never occured to me till he did it. And I couldn't believe he was so arrogant so as to go back and do that. Actually, I could. He had to have the last word, even when the thread was closed for THREE DAYS, and had fallen off of page one of the main forum topics list.

I remember Homey G asking how it was possible to edit a post in a closed thread in the Suggestions forum, but I can't find that thread either. I don't think Playa ever showed his face in there, but can't be for sure. It was all fun and games until he got all butthurt. Again, Good Riddance. Travis summed up my feelings previously.

He got older. Actually, a large part of the reason for the new name had to do with a Stalker (non-coaster person), but that's neither here, nor there. I took a break from Buzz for a while and when I came back, I had been using another screen name, so Tekwardo was a portmanteau of my former and more current screen names.

That was sooooo...cringeworthy. I wish I could go back and edit that for sure.
