I'm going with dead both days, thats a normal opening weekend, especially if the weather keeps up like this. Even if it is busy, it won't be slammed by any means.
As a general rule (unless there are special circumstances), Sundays are always less crowded than Saturdays. That really applies to any park, anywhere.

Knotts Halloween Haunt- Everyone has to go sometime....

Thanks for you help, guys! I think i'm going to go on saturday because I really want to be on the first train of the year for Steel Venom!
That's really tough. FutureMan said it ain't happening. SV will be down Saturday until 3:24 pm. Then it will cycle twice and go down again while you're on a commode in the bathroom stall by Mad Mouse. Damn that fried cheese!

Don't count on SV opening. I was in Minneapolis this morning in fact and drove by VD on the way from Western Shakopee to fl out of MSP. Steel Venom still does not have the mods done on the back tower. There are parts not yet installed and there were guys working on the nwe stuff. After that, standard testing, etc., still needs to happen.

Either way, enough with these "will this be open" or "how crowded..." questions. You can only get the answers if you join the CB club. *** Edited 5/9/2004 2:59:39 AM UTC by Peabody***

Wait...you ask for the least crowded of the two days, a bunch of us tell you it's Sunday, and then you say you're going on Saturday anyway?

Why even bother to ask? Why waste our time?

Mamoosh: I asked for a suggestion on what day to go, yah a couple people said sunday, but one person said it would be dead both days. Valleyfair! is barely ever busy and besides, as I said above, I want to be on that first train of the season for Steel Venom. And besides theres no obligation for you to post your thoughts anyways.
Barely ever?

A 89-acre park with a million-plus visitors during the shortest season in the CF family?

It gets busy. Not necessarily two-hour wait busy, but busy nonetheless. The park isn't shy about 2- and 3-train operation...except SV, of course.

If you want that first ride be sure to wear an enthusiast T-Shirt and yell coaster stats REALLY LOUD. People love that at parks!

Well no offense but that shows you just don't get it. Anyway, have fun on Saturday.
