Valleyfair announces suspended Top Spin for 2005

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Does this foreshadow things to come within any other Cedar Fair parks next year? We'll see...

Was the ride designed specifically for Knott's or is it just a genral flat ride? We already know what 2 parks are getting?

Watching the video makes me want to toss thy cookies. I love Tomb Raider and Texas Twister if Valleyfair runs this like Knott's it will be a lot of fun! Hopefully we will see other CF parks get one.

I was starting to lose hope for something new. Maybe a new coaster in the distant future. (sigh).

I've never been on a ride like this before. It looks like alot of fun! Hopefully there will be one at CP next year as well.

The Foam Ball Factory kicks Arse. Period. I really hate that Da Midget will be too tall to get us in next year. Screw Dragon Wagons - these are the best reason ever to 'steal' a kid.

Mayhaps CF got a multi-installation deal from Huss?? :)

Or perhaps the first one was so successful that they ordered another. There are three parks out of the chain that won't get one in the future, due to them already having Top Spins (WOF, DP, and GL).

Actually, I think the Riptides replaced an older ride both KBF and VF had.

I suppose they'll keep MiA's model running until it no longer can and go from there.

Trabant will be moved but not removed for RipTide.

I'll guess it's going where Northern Lights is now.

Good point, I-Fan. Adding these to VF and KBF only leaves CP and MA without some sort of Top Spin.

I thought the press release said it would be in the middle of the games area and the whole section would be re-themed. So would'nt that be just before you get to the Trabant and Supercat?

Northern lights was down most of last season and had almost no ridership this season. It was probably down a bit this season too. But I heard from some ride ops at ValleyFair Online that Trabant would just be moved aside and not far.

Knott's Riptide [Huss Top Spin] replaced a Zamperla Rotoshake [aka Camp Snoopy's Mighty Axe].

Thats looks like an awesome ride. They should have installed something similar at Great America - King Chaos is a joke and a waste of time. VERY short cycle and maybe one flip.

Playa - last year Knott's received a Chance Revolution [La Revolution] which replaced two flats: a Falling Star and something called Tumbler [Camp Snoopy has/had one of those, too...it had a kind of "leapfrog" motion to it].
