Valleyfair! 5/23/04-Best Day Ever!

Hey , Amazing day at Valleyfair!.

I got there at about ten fifteen. There were probably 20 to thirty cars in the parking lot. Right then I new this was going to be an awsome day! I'm guessing the reason why nobody was there was because it was rather cold and rainy. I went straight over to Steel Venom. There was nobody to be seen in the park! I walked onto SV and got in the front seat. I think there were two other people on my train. Anyway, I was about to get off when the ride op. told me that I could stay on if I wanted too! This has never happened to me before so I was pretty excited. I stayed on the ride five times without getting off!

Then I wanted to go check out the rest of the park. I put on my rain jacket and started walking up to Wild thing. It was incredible, there was nobody to be seen! I was the only one on my train for Wild Thing, so I got a front seat ride. It was incredible! It hurt a little bit with the rain flying into my face, but it was so worth it! After that I went over to PowerTower. Got in line(well, there was no line), but it brock down so I ended up going straight back to Steel Venom. There was still nobody in the park. Hoped in the back of Steeel Venom and rode it 7 TIMES without getting off. Every time better than before. I think the ride ops. thought I was a little crazy. I took a quick bathroom break and I was back on it. This time 8 consecutive times without getting off, 6 in the back and 2 in the front. 20 rides in an hour and a half! I then decided to leave since I was drenched through. By far the best trip I have ever had to Valleyfair!

Sounds nice. I would have gone today except I have stupid finals to study for. Maybe next weekend. If it rains that would make it even better. Even though nobody was there, I would find it kind of creepy to go on wild thing with no one else in your train. Oh well. Sounds like fun.

Dang, sounds like a good time, I wish I could have been there, I would have stayed there all day, and probably got a 100 rides in.

Hey Steel Venom07, did you break your record lol? wasnt it 13? or 14? The next time I go I gotta break my record for both steel venom and wild thing.

Corkscrew: 21

All done in the same day, a day just like yours, no one there except me and a few friends.

Damn, 33 rides on Wild Thing! Yah I broke it easily. I got 20 rides, all without getting off the train once. I don't know if I could handle 21 rides on Corkscrew in one day. Theres only so much head banging and bad coasters I can take. *** Edited 5/25/2004 2:20:49 AM UTC by Steel Venom07***

Oh yeah :) Someone had to throw that in there after that awesome conversation in the WOF report!

I was there on the 22nd and I rode the Corkscrew hardly no headbanging they must over haul it over the off season and they put gates on the Corkscrew and Excalibur for crowd control.

How? I've been there on days like you described in your TR and when asked the ops always say you have to get off and re-enter the line, even when there is no one waiting to ride. Have they changed policy, if there was one?

I asked the ride ops right after my first ride if I could stay on and they said sure. That was the same thing with Wild Thing, even though I only rode it once.

i agree that corkscrew and excalibur have some extreme headbanging, it hurts and i left with an extreme headache. Im heading to valleyfair around late June, ill see you there hopefully.

Wild thing is getting boring, excalibur hasnt lost its touch, corkscrew is too short, mad mouse is scary, steel venom rocks, and anything else is carnival crap besides power tower, which i cant stand. I also think corkscrew is shorter than Steel Venom, hahahahahahahaha, seriously

From meaningless to piddly to less than worthless...time to slam this one shut.
