We got there at 11:00 am. It was a nice day and the crowd was average for valleyfair, but pretty small compared to other parks. A section of the parking lot was closed, and so were excalibur and thunder canyon. I was looking forward to excalibur too.
My first ride was chaos. This ride was really running well. We just kept flipping and flopping and flipping again.
Second was power tower, with red coming first. It was a normal power tower ride, which isn't normal at all.
Then was wild thing. I begged and pleaded for the brakes to come off, and I rode in the backseat to get airtime, but there was absolutely nothing. The brakes after the turnaround made the second half of the ride boring.
Then was High Roller. Again the backseat, and the same result. The brakes were really nasty.
Next was Mad Mouse. This was the surprise of the day. Yesterday I would have rather ridden the Mad Mouse than High Roller. That is a first. All of the brakes were open and it was a wild ride with good punches of airtime in the front seat.
Last was a horrible finale. Corkscrew. Blah.
Overall it was a ok day, but I actually felt bored for part of the time. Valleyfair just didn't seem the same without excalibur.
Wasn't Excalibur under water a couple of days ago? And what's wrong with Corkscrew?
