V2 question

This question is simple. How is "V2" said? "V Two" or "V Squared"? I personally thing V Two sounds better, but I have not heard how it is really said. (I can't rely on friends, for I am the one that told them about it.)
I don't know, I just say V2. V squared never occurred to me. V squared sounds 'unnatural' too.

I say V². V squared sounds cooler to me than V Two.

Well, with two replies, it seems that 'V Two' wins. I see this because kcies said that 'V Squared' never occured to him, while it did with SFGA2001, but he like 'V Squared' better. I guess it's 2 against 1. I have to keep saying V Two I guess. I'm kind of glad about it!
to tell you the truth i am an algebra student and i dont go to theme parks to hear more math so i hope it isnt "V squared" ;)

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 SFMW 2001 ...
I am surprised they arent calling it "VV" since the full name of V2 is Vertical Velocity.

Why are you surprised about that? It has no ring to it, and parks love ring in coaster names. An example, how many new rides do you come across with the name of just corkscrew? None, because there is no ring to anymore :-)

I think the reason the name "Corkscrew" fell out of favor is that most looping coasters nowadays do a LOT more than corkscrew. If what you said was true then parks would also dump the name "Wild Mouse".

Anyway, I thought V2 was vee-squared. After all, in the logo the '2' is superscripted.

I figured it was "V squared", because at SFKK they have T2 which is short for "Terror to the Second Power". I like V squared better.

Ditto.
Look everyone, this is not something that is just decided by what the majority of people think. When there is a little 2 next to a letter(V²), it reads as squared. In Six Flag's logo, that is how they write it. Plain and simple.
Think back to algebra, X² is X times X, or Two X's, Hence there are two V's in Vertical Velocity, so it is V².
This really shouldn't be an argument. If you don't like it, you can always just call it Vertical Velocity!

You know FloridaCoasterRider it shouldn't be an argument because, we should go by what the park calls it and that would be V 2. Six Flags does not say V squared.

Six Flags Calls it V2? I stand corrected. :)

Do you see anyone here arguing? I didnt think so. Read before you post. Personally I could care less what they call it. All I care about is riding it.
Look, maybe "argument" was the wrong word... maybe what I was looking for was "discussion". Obviously I was wrong about the whole thing anyway, so just disregard it.
