V2: front seat (this is for people that have been

I'm wondering for when I goto SFGAm this year, is it worth it to wait the extra time for the front seat on V2? Also, how much longer is the wait for front seat of V2? I think I'll convince my grandma (yup, my grandma goes to the park with me, and on all the coasters, even Raging Bull) to go front seat with me if any of you say it's worth it.

BTW, I only want people who have been on SUE to respond to this, unless somehow you've been on either V2 (and lived through the ride on a incomplete coaster)!

V2, Deja Vu... how can it be better? Add Viper! Oh, wait. It's already there!
You know, just looking at SUE, its totally insane. I can't wait until its finished. It would definately be worth the wait for the front. I haven't ridden SUE, but just the pictures i have seen.

I rode the front of Superman: Ultimate Escape at Six Flags Ohio (now Six Flags Worlds of Adventure) and also the back. I wanted to ride the front just because you get twisted more up the twisted spike. I liked the back better because you are higher up when you get stopped on the straight spike. I recommend going for the back, the front didn't seem any more exciting to me.

I actually preferred the front seat on SUE, simply because seeing the END OF THE TRACK speeding towards you tends to scare the sh*t out of you! It was the first coaster I have been on that I was close to NOT riding. Try the front and the back, though, if you've got the time.
We rode the front seat on S:UE last season. I liked the front because you go higher on the spiral then the spike side. On the spike side when they hang you there for a second or two I was a little creepy just seeing the ground 50-60 feet below you.

I can't help you out with wait times since we went on a miserable day durring the week all waits were less about 20 minutes or less.

I rode S:UE and prefer the front for the same reasons as coasterpunk. You twist more, see the top of the spiral coming at you, and then you're staring at the ground on the spike side.

Also, I can't help with the waits. When I was there it was early morning and the park wasn't full yet and the waits were only about 5-10 minutes.

I'm hoping the spike on V2 is over the water so I can stare straight down at it. That could be cool.

The front has great visuals as the sky twists around. The climb into the front spike is intense.

Conversely, the climb into the back spike in the back seat is intense in a way that no other ride is, because you're going backwards.

You've gotta do them both.

Same here,
The front on S:UE rules. You're going 70 mph thru the station, hands out in front of you, it feels like you flying. You see the superman logo on that shed in front coming at you real fast, and then you're whipped up the spike and twist, this is a rush.
On the back spike, you're not as high, but you're looking straight down at the ground for a second.

In the back seat, you don't go up as high on the front spike, but on the back spike, you can see the ground if you look over the people.

Front seat, and back seat ride are a must.
WEll, I think I'll scare the crap out of my grandma and go front seat with her. Thanks guys.

Rode SUE last year. Jeff's right, ride front AND back. You won't regret it.

Ride front and back. That way the line for Bull and Viper will be shorter for me. ;)

Don't touch the watch.
I'm with the "gotta do 'em both" crowd. I rode front the very first time on SUE, and going all the way up the spiral for the first time gave me a heart attack. It was insane.

The back row, like others have stated, is equally insane, due to the INTENSE positive G's going up the back spike, which *instantly* turn into zero G's once you hit vertical. Strangest sensations ever!

By the way, both V2 spike will indeed be over water at SFGAm, as stated by park literature.

It's both for me also.

The front seat is out of control!!
Wait the extra time. I usually get a little freaked traveling up vertical in itself, but the fact that it twists makes it that much more frightening. It feels as if you are going to de-rail. I wasn't expecting that when I first rode SUE.

The back seat is wild!!
The second to last seat works for me also because there's nothing but like 5 feet seperating you from the back, and it's not like the back seat's view is better either.
Did I mention the wait is much shorter.
I agree with all the above. Ride em both like I did. The wait wasn't ever that bad because the ride only lasts something like 50 seconds. And don't forget everyone, on the last pass up the rear spike the brakes kick in hard while you're looking straight down! Pray your harness works!
I didn't have time to wait, so I went on the 2nd row. I'm still regretting it.

But in 6 weeks, I'll be back!
