V2 At SFMW Complete

Well here it is, click here. In my opinion I don't really like it. It more straight than curvy, but Hey that's just me.

eww korny. I guess I will confirm my suspicions this friday.

Looks intense from what I see, I can just imagine being launched through the angled zero g roll. Oh sweet bliss.

Flume Crew for 2002!

Man, the first few pics make it look like it is less than 45 degrees! However, if you look at page three, it gives a perspective from near the station, and it looks pretty cool! Those towers are rather unsightly though.

That looks pretty intense. I was wondering how they were going to deal with the train stall and reversal without having riders in that position. That's a pretty interesting design. If only I could ride it and see...

mmm, roller coaster
(Homer Simpson)

I know some of you guys wanted to know how V2 looks from someone's perspective, and to tell you the truth it doesn't look that bad from the freeway it actually looks...UMMM How do I say this fun. The barrel roll looks fun and just flying over the park like that seem so fun. That's just my opinion anyway. Bye Bye Now!
In my point the name of the ride doesn't stick any more. My home park is SFGAm and in my view vertical velocity relates more to the back spike, with the brake that makes you feel like your body is gonna keep moving and fall straight to the ground. Though it still looks really fun it just doesn't seem to fit the name Vertical Velocity now.

The worlds a rollercoaster
And I’m not strapped in
Maybe I should hold with care, but
My hands are busy in the air- incubus

An angled barrell roll will certainly feel a bit different from anything else I've experianced.

Looks different, still looks intense though!

It might be fun...but it looks horrible.

With this modification we now have 4 different types of impulses in the world.

1. V2(SFGAm) and S:UE , Front vertical twist and straight back spike with holding brake.

2. Impulse in Japan(the name escapes me), Front and back straight spike.

3. Wicked Twister, Front and back twist.

4. V2(SFMW), Front angled track with inline twist and straight track, back straight spike with holding brake.

I wonder when the next version will come out?

it kinda looks like an experiment ride or something...Like a coaster designer was just playing around on RCT or something...I bet it'll be pretty coo in the front seat cuz of the view.

Well, I get to live three mintues in driving distance from V2 this summer thanks to the Columbian Government. Can't renem my passport for San Andreas' so I that means no stop at Six Flags Mexico, Columbia Speedway, or Bomba' Reloj.

Instead I'm spending the month of July in California living with my grandparents in Vacaville and my uncle in Vallejo. That's right, he lives in a Jerry Springer Park.... I mean trailer park 3 minutes car distances from SFMW. It's close enough that he told me he can hear Roar on quiet afternoons from his deck.

To buy a season pass, or not to buy a season pass? That is the question... ;)

Wait, did they shorten the rear spike, too?
Yes. By 30 feet.
