shown here is new V2 layout, made from 3D Thrills on Americacoaster.com
Any opinion?

SFNE's Superman's the best!

Wow I guess I wouldn't know unless I rode it but I was under the impression the track would be turned in over the station (now that I think about it, it was said that it would be over the queue) Anyway It doesn't look like it will be that amazingly thrilling but I have been surprised before. I do belive the Vertical spikes would be more interesting but then again this version will have an inversion so I don't know. As long as the holding brake is still there is still should be a great ride but the original V2 looks better to me.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

They should rename it nonvertical velocity.

Will that be considered an inversion on the front?

-----------------
Millennium Force......It has its ups and downs.

if this was a matter of height..why did they only do this to one spike?

I HATE SNOW!!! I am boycotting snow, I refuse to have fun in it.

They lowered the other spike too. Made it shorter.

Oh ok, it doesnt look like they did in the picture. I was thoroughly confused. But, I am all better now

Why don't they just lower both spikes? In my opinion, this ride is no longer very original. I had previously planned on heading up there this summer for this very ride, but forget that now.
Doesn't look much fun anymore, I like the older version better.

AdamFrank - how can you say V2 is no longer original when BEFORE the change it was exactly like two others in the US? Now its a one-of-a-kind! Sounds like that's the exact definition of "original" to me.

Note to Peabody - right on! Never judge a coaster on how is looks.

I agree with Mamoosh. Now, MFMW's V2 is unique. Before, it was a clone. A clone of a good ride, mind you, unlike the common-as-dirt (and about as valuable IMHO ;) ) boomerangs and SLCs all over the place.

Mamoosh & GregLeg,

You guys are right, V2 may very well be unique now. I guess what I was trying to say is that prior to the changes, the only other places I could ride this type of attraction were back east, where I won't be going any time soon. What I should have said was, original for the west coast. This new design, although probably still thrilling, just doesn't grab my interest like the old version did and the other two still do. I think I should just keep my mouth shut when I don't know what I'm talking about.

AdamF - we're not trying to shut you up or say you don't have a right to your opinion. You may be right, this version may very well be inferior. All we're saying is wait to ride it to make a judgement. And look at it this way: because you're on the west coaster you'll get to experience V2 is both incarnations, while those on the East Coast have to settle for the clones. And if this new version is better, won't we be having the last laugh! LOL!
Sorry if it appeared we were jumping on you, Adam, as that wasn't the intent. Personally I AM interested in trying the "new" V2 out -- we'll see how she rides...
