Hey guys, I am at SFGAm right now I am using my pom pilot. I just got of V2. The brakes on the back spike malfuctioned and we were held up there for a bout 30 secs! Man it was scary. Kind of hurt though.
Huh? Your Palm Pilot? Are you serious?
That would be awesome, although unsafe. Your not going to sue the park right?

You can have wireless internet on a Palm Pilot.

No way. I almost went tonight. That must have been incredibly uncomfortable and slightly unnerving. If the restraints unlocked you'd be toast (wet toast, that is).
somehow i dont buy it. They arent brakes for one, they are LIMs. Second off, there are cutoffs for the power to the back spike for just that reason. They wouldve just cut power and let you coast into the magnetic brakes. if it did happen, cool, but one educated coaster freak wouldnt buy it. :-P
I guess you haven't figured out Graffiti on the Palm because you can't seem to spell it. I was also wondering why the IP you posted from is an @Home address (cable modem) that I can ping an hour later at less than 300ms through my dial-up. Those are some batteries.
Or maybe you're just making it up, since I don't see electro-magnets "malfunctioning" to hold a train weighing several tons for 30 seconds.

If anyone saw the Discovery show on S:UE, there is an entire computer devoted to that hold.
Plus, if you have been on any of the rides, you know that a) the hold is a second long and b) it never comes to a dead stop, as it VERY slowly is rolling down.
Ten bucks says he made it up!!
I asked about the palm pilot because I don't know why he would bring it in the park with him and tell evryone right away that he got stuck. I dunno, he was probably bored.

I am sorry but no chance! I wonder would coasterbuzz would look like on a palm! Is a Palm's screen even able to have a site like this on it? The brake is a tiny LIM that has the trian come to a completle stop for 1/100th of a second.

Yeah, it cannot hold you for a long time. It will either hold you for a quick second or not hold at all (as I hear SFMW's is currently doing). So why are you lying? See signature.

Thank you for not feeding the trolls and enjoy the rest of your day, here at CoasterBuzz.com. CLEAR!
No No, he has the new Pom Pilot, which not only has a wireless cable connection but is also can be used as a cheerleading device.

why is the moderator jeff so negative? no offense to you or anything but you diss everyone's posts.
Well its pretty obvious that the person was making it up. It makes me mad to when someone lies about something just to get attention or to make a post.
For everyones info, you can view CB and post from a wireless Palm. I am doing so right now (Kyocera 6035 smart phone via Sprint). However I agree that this guys post smells funny. Not only is his claim about the brakes bogus - but he prob. got the idea from my -real- post from SFGAm about V2 a couple of weeks ago, which I also made from my Palm/phone.
Isn't this the same guy who said he working going to work for Intamin the next day?

The fact that he is not defending himself also attests to the high probability that the claim asserted in the post was fraudulent.
I am tall enough to stand on the seat in front of me, and i do that when it stops, and they say just for that element, it uses an extra like some giant amount of amps of power. i don't know if that would be possible, but who knows.

No, I'm a positive guy. However, when my BS detector goes off, I'm not afraid to call it what it is. I'm all for diversity of ideas and opinions in the Internet marketplace, but I refuse to allow made up nonsense to be propagated through my little corner of cyberspace.
That's all for today's rant. :)

Who knows if he was on it, but it did get stuck last week, more than 30 seconds though.
