US Military opens renovated resort near Disney World

More military members and their families can exclaim ā€œIā€™m going to Disney World,ā€ thanks to the recent expansion of Shades of Green Armed Forces Recreation Center on Walt Disney World Resort. Self-supporting and operated with non-appropriated funds, Shades of Green is reserved for active duty and retired members of the uniformed services, Reserves and National Guard, as well as active and retired Department of Defense civilians and their families.

I like the idea that they price the rooms according to rank, and the lowest ranked servicemen/women get the lowest prices. Disney could have done a lot with that property. I am glad they worked out this arrangement for our military folks. It has been quite a success for years now.
