Upgrades adhere to Shamu's schedule

Like humans, killer whales apparently like their sleep. That's not a fact to take lightly when you're talking about a 12,000-pound killer with 3-inch teeth. And that's why officials at SeaWorld Orlando -- now in the final stage of a major upgrade of its main stadium -- have worked on a complicated construction schedule that allows the public at Shamu Stadium to still see the whales, the contractors to complete a major upgrade, and the giant sea beasts to get undisturbed slumber.
