Upgrade RCT 1 to RCT2

Does anyone know if RCT2 will be like an upgrade where we will be able to play our scenarios from RCT1? Like if I haven't finished all my parks in the first 3 RCT packs, will they transfer into RCT2 to finish, or not?

To your original question, I'm not sure if original RCT games will be transferrable to RCT2. Just have to wait for the official word.

Why worry about it when you can always leave RCT on your computer and when RCT2 is released you can just add it as soon as you get a copy.

I plan on keeping RCT on my PC and simply installing RCT2 as soon as I can get my hands on a copy of it.

Well yeah but some of us don't have that much hard drive space. Some of us have old computers that don't have much space :)

Shoewee, I know what you mean. I have our olf family computer in my room which I play RCT on, it has a lowly 1 meg of space! Yep, thats all its got.

If your computer is that old, then you might have trouble running RCT2, or any other game that's released now and in the future, anyway. I'm certain that RCT2's requirements will be higher than RCT1's, simply to be able to handle the larger parks, the more involved peep AI, and the increased number and frames of animations. And in that case, it's not going to matter if RCT2 is compatible with your RCT1 save-games, because you won't be able to run RCT2 anyway.

I don't believe the original RCT games can be played on RCT2's game engine. Sawyer had it set up on a whole new level. The differences are that great.
