[4/21/2003 8:55:43 AM] Mayhem struck Lake Winnepesaukah Saturday night from a fight involving 50-100 youth, closing down the park while crowds rushed to escape.

[UPDATE] Catoosa County Sheriff Phil Summers said Monday that the incident, which stalled traffic in the neighborhood and resulted in two juvenile arrests, stemmed from sporadic fighting that occurred inside the amusement park about 8 p.m. Park officials, hoping to quell the behavior, decided to close the park early at about 8:30 p.m. — one-and-a-half hours before its scheduled closing time.
