Update on Arnold's Park

It seems that Arnold's Park recently sent a mailing to those "Friends" of the park who contributed to the 1999 Save the Park campaign.

In the mailing was a list of achievements for 2001.   Chief amongst them is the fact that the park saw a 3% RISE in attendnace.

Other notable achievements for Arnold's Park:

- Installation of the Log Flume

- Rehabilitation of several park rides

- General improvemets, like landscaping, concession areas, and renovation of some buildings

_ A new arcade

In addition they have acquired some prior stunts from the parks own Fun House, namely the Slide, Barrel of Fun, and Sugar Bowl.  It is unclear whether those will be re-installed in the Fun House, or merely echibited in the Maritime Museum.

Arnold's park, in the spirirt of other parks that were built on donated money has built a "Walk of Fame"  somewhere at that park is a brick with my name on it.

I don't know what the normal season pass prices are, but the ones given in the Friends of the Park mailing were less than what most parks charge for a one day admission.

I'm glad. I don't want this classic park to close.
